This paddle has a fiberglass grip and oval fiberglass two-piece shaft. The 8.5 inch blade is also fiberglass and has the patent pending keel on the powerface to minimize rail banging. Our 2-piece configuration makes taking it on the road easy and it stores well in your car. Fiberglass Blade width 8.5 inches (21.6 cm). This is the same paddle as our Carbon 2-Piece 8.5 but built with less expensive fiberglass material. In weight it is 4 oz more than carbon, and it's a bit more flexible. A great paddle for the price!
