How to Apply a Paddle Grip

To attach the grip...
1) Remove all wax, dust and whatever else. The paddle shaft must be squeaky clean. Prepare and clean thoroughly with window cleaner.
2) Before you remove the adhesive backing from the pad, identify the area where you would like the pad to be positioned. Pad normally sits 24" from the top of grip. Make a mark on the top of the shaft at the point where you want to position it.
3) Carefully remove all the paper from the bottom of the pad. BE CAREFUL - do not allow adhesive area to touch itself or areas that you do not want it to stick to. Once it sticks it can be difficult to remove. Using the mark you made on the shaft, put pad in in place, slowly bringing one edge straight down the shaft, then slowly wrap around shaft pressing it in place as you wrap to release any air. As you come back around the shaft to the other edge of the pad ensure that the top and bottom edges meet squarely. Press the pad against the opposite edge, being careful not to overlap onto the top of the pad. Take a razor and remove the excess. (For safety, always cut away from yourself.) Once down press in place from inside to the outside to remove any air pockets.
